rdp powder-dispersible polymer powder
Composition of dispersible polymer powder
Dispersible polymer powders are usually white powders, but a few have other colors. The composition of dispersible polymer powder includes:
1. Polymer resin: It is located in the core part of the rubber powder particles, and it is also the main component of the redispersible polymer powder, such as polyvinyl acetate/vinyl resin.
2. Additives (internal): together with the resin, it plays the role of modifying the resin. For example, the plasticizer that reduces the film forming temperature of the resin (usually vinyl acetate/ethylene copolymer resin does not need to add plasticizer) is not every kind of glue. Powder has additives.
3. Protective colloid: a layer of hydrophilic material wrapped on the surface of redispersible latex powder particles, the protective colloid of most redispersible latex powder is polyvinyl alcohol.
4. Additives (external): In order to further expand the performance of the redispersible polymer powder, additional materials are added. For example, adding a super water reducer to some fluid-aiding rubber powders is the same as the additives added inside, not every time. A redispersible milk powder contains this additive.
5. Anti-caking agent: fine mineral filler, mainly used to prevent the rubber powder from caking during storage and transportation and to facilitate the flow of rubber powder (dumped from paper bags or tankers)
